Chris Gudgeon
Chief Executive

Chris commenced as Chief Executive in August 2008. He was previously General Manager Property with Auckland International Airport Limited and, prior to that, Chief Executive Officer of Capital Properties New Zealand Limited in Wellington. Chris has been involved in property investment, development and construction in New Zealand for over 20 years. He has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from the University of Canterbury and an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.


Gavin Parker
Chief Financial Officer

Gavin has over 20 years’ experience in the managed funds industry, together with five years’ chartered accounting and taxation experience. Gavin joined the Trust in 2002. He is responsible for all aspects of the finance and accounting functions for the Trust, including financial reporting, treasury management, taxation and corporate governance. He has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Graduate Diploma in Business from the University of Auckland and is a member of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Jason Happy
National Facilities Manager

Jason is responsible for ensuring the Trust’s existing properties and new developments are market-leading performers in operational efficiency and effectiveness. Jason also manages the Trust’s Health and Safety and Environmental programmes. He has practised as a professional engineer and holds an honours degree in mechanical engineering, as well as a Master of Science degree specialising in Facilities Management. Jason has been with the Trust since 1997.

Susan Lindsay
Head of Human Resources

Susan is responsible for all aspects of Human Resources nationally. She brings with her over 10 years’ experience in generalist human resources working with TVNZ, Lion Nathan, Airways Corporation and Unilever. Susan holds both music and psychology degrees from Victoria University and has undertaken advanced training in a range of human resources tools and accreditations.

Jon Lesquereux
Head of Transactions and Projects

Jon coordinates the Trust’s Capital Transactions and New Business Group which explores new opportunities and drives portfolio-wide initiatives to add revenue and value to property assets. He has an honours degree in urban land economics and is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Jon has been with the Trust since 1997 and was formerly Manager – Commercial Portfolio.


Andrew Buckingham
Project Director

Andrew has been with the Trust since 2004. He has worked in the commercial property industry for the past 25 years in Australia and New Zealand. He has been involved in all aspects of the industry, but specialises in property development. He is responsible for the ongoing planning and delivery of the Sylvia Park project as well as the proposed new ASB headquarters on the Auckland waterfront. Andrew is an Associate of the Australian Property Institute and a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

Gordon Bray
Manager - Retail Leasing

Gordon heads the team responsible for specialty store leasing of the Trust’s retail portfolio. Gordon has 20 years’ experience in the property industry. His background includes commercial, industrial and retail sales and leasing, shopping centre management and general management roles. He has been with the Trust since 2000.


Karl Retief
Manager - Retail Portfolio

Karl is responsible for all aspects of performance of the Trust’s retail assets, including strategising remixes, improving net operating income, reviewing marketing strategies, and management of shopping centre teams. Karl joined the Trust in 2000 and managed North City Shopping Centre in Porirua before taking up his current position in 2003. Prior to that he held senior retail management roles for over 22 years in New Zealand and South Africa. He has an MBA and is a representative member of the NZ Council of Shopping Centres.


Mark Luker
General Manager - Development

Mark has been involved in every aspect of property development – from industrial, major retail shopping centres and offices through to more eclectic forms of investment, including ground leasehold. Mark is responsible for all development activities of the Trust. He is a Registered Property Consultant and Property Manager, and Senior Member of the Property Institute of New Zealand. He has been with the Trust since 1996.


Miles Brown
Manager - Commercial Portfolio

Miles has responsibility for the performance of the Trust’s office portfolio. The role involves managing the leasing, rent review and capital expenditure programs for the office assets. Miles joined the Trust in 2003 as an asset manager in the commercial team and has 18 years’ experience in the commercial property industry, including 10 years working in the United Kingdom and Hong Kong. Miles holds a bachelor degree in property from the University of Auckland and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
